汤免温泉有两个由来。传说之一是在距今约1,200年前，弘法大师受到梦境的启示发现了这处温泉，另一个传说是当地的猎人发现涌出的泉水治好了受伤的兔子，因此称之为汤免（兔）温泉。汤免温泉对伤口与皮肤十分有利，对特应性皮炎与痱子等亦有非常显著的功效。
水质 : 碱性单纯温泉 PH8.85 无色透明、微具硫磺气味
功效 : 神经痛、肌肉酸痛、关节疼痛、皮肤病等
特色 : 具有缓解皮肤病与特应性皮炎等疾病的功效。
