Koutoku-ji Temple is so famous for its hydrangea blooms that it is also known as the "Hydrangea Temple."
At the crest of the hill on which this temple stands, on the path towards the main hall, a glance back will reveal the Sea of Japan, and an exquisite field of hydrangea flowers.
