Misuzu Kaneko Mosaic: Project M20000

Genre : Museums

Area : Tawarayama

This mosiac re-imagines the world of Misuzu Kaneko's poem, "Big Catch."

When beloved poet Misuzu Kaneko passed away, she left behind a total of 512 poems. This fantastic mosaic depicts the world of one poem, "Big Catch," by using 20,000 pieces of Senzaki's famous kamaboko fish cakes!
Turn on the switch and the mosaic wall will be illuminated with the words of the poem--and a whole school of fish!
Along Senzaki's Misuzu Road there are a total of six locations displaying Misuzu Kaneko-themed mosaics, and two more in the Nagato Yumoto Onsen area, making for ideal photo spots.
