Sugemuta Park

Genre : Campsites & Parks

Area : Yuya & Heki

With gently revolving wind turbines and 18,000 azalea blossoming, this knoll makes for a lovely photo spot!

Sugemuta Park features a lake and an azalea hill, atop which 18,000 flowers of the rhododendron family bloom in shades of red, white, and pink. The park is especially popular during the period between late April and early May, when admirers come to enjoy the azaleas at their peak bloom. Families of very friendly ducks can often been seen swimming by the lakeside, and sometimes even waddling close by the people on the shore!
